120 volunteers in Santa hats helped make sure there were gifts under the Christmas tree and food on the table for 425 low-income area families last Saturday, courtesy of the Clare County Christmas Outreach.
The volunteers assisted families select new toys and books for 558 children.
Families with children also received new blankets, hats, mittens, coats and personal needs packages.
All participants, including senior households, received a generous food donation. This event was held at the Harrison Lions building in Harrison.
