Coleman, MI: Young readers are travelling the globe this summer as the Coleman Area Library presents “All Aboard for Adventure!” during the summer reading program. Children can “Book a Trip” and explore places such as London, China, Russia, Italy and other countries through stories, crafts, dance and other activities. The 2013 Summer Reading Program is open to children from pre-school through 8th grade and includes exciting presentations, fun prizes and more. Thanks to generous donations from many local businesses, parents may also enter to win special prizes when they bring children in to the library.
The Coleman Area Library will also offer several fun and educational presentations during the summer. All presentations are free and open to the general public, even if you do not have children enrolled in the reading program. Participants have already enjoyed “Cultures Around the World” presented by Lisa Oehring from the MCFTA summer camps and “Middle Eastern Belly Dance” presented by Brandy Boyle from Belly Dance Fusion.
The Coleman Area library is open 9:00am-5:00pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, on Thursday 12:30pm-8:30pm and on Saturday 8:00am to Noon. The library is closed Sunday and Monday.
