Daniel Patric Arnold, 19, of Harrison was one of three men arrested in connection with three recent vehicle thefts in Harrison recently.

He has been charged with ten felony counts and four misdemeanor counts including the vehicle thefts, larceny, retail fraud, purchase and consumption of alcohol by a minor, assault against a police officer and second degree home invasion with penalties ranging from 90 days and fines of $500 to 15 years in prison and fines in excess of $10,000 .

Information from an inmate at the Clare County Jail let officers to Arnold and two other suspects believed to be connected to the thefts, all of which occurred over a three week period.

Sheriff John Wilson said deputies interviewed the inmate, who was jailed on unrelated charges, and during the interview gained information that led to the three suspects. Two of the three were located and interviewed leading to the arrests.

The suspects were each initially charged with two counts of UDAA (Unlawful Driving Away of an Auto), one count of joy riding, and one count of Home Invasion second degree.

Wilson said the arrests clear up three stolen vehicle complaints from the Harrison area. “The investigation is continuing with more arrests expected,” he said.

The three are lodged at the Clare County Jail.
