Isabella County Sheriff’s Department officers are searching for two men they believe set vehicles on fire in two incidents August 3.
According to Sheriff Leo Mioduszewski, the arsons happened between 3:30 and 4:10 a.m. the first vehicle fire, a red 2001 Pontiac Grand Am four-door, was on private property near the northeast corner of Baseline Road and Crawford Road. The second incident, involving a white 1992 Buick Regal four-door, happened in the parking lot of Rosebush Estates on Mission Road.
Both fires happened within 35 to 40 minutes and officers think the arsons were committed by the same men.
Officers are looking for two men, both slim and one wearing a brown hoodie and blue jeans and the other wearing a dark colored hoodie and blue jeans.
The Isabella County Sheriff’s Department and the Michigan Arson Prevention Committee are offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and/or conviction of the persons involved in the arsons.
