Beal City blasts Clare, 31-13

Clare couldn’t hang with host Beal City Friday night, falling to the host Aggies 31-13 in a non-conference football game. With the loss, the Pioneers fall to 0-2 for the first time since 2005.

Clare's Jordan Gross was held in check by Beal City defenders, gaining 37 yards in 12 carries!


Zack Tyler finished six-of-17 passing for 68 yards and one touchdown, with Spencer Harrell making two grads for 26 yards and Brock Swan making one catch for seven yards.

Jordon Gross ran the ball 12 times for 37 yards and one touchdown.

Clare (0-2) plays at Houghton Lake (0-2) today. The Bobcats lost to Frankfort 34-20 in week one and fell 47-6 to Grayling last week. The Pioneers won last year’s meeting 35-0 and have won each of the last six meetings between the two teams.
