The Farwell baseball team had its season end at the hands of host Beaverton in division three baseball Tuesday night, as the Eagles fell to the Beavers 13-3.

“We played really well up until the bottom of the fourth inning,” Farwell head coach Erik Schunk said. “Had the lead 3-0 at that point actually. A couple walks and hits from there and all our momentum was gone.”

Austin Hickey suffered the loss, pitching three and 1/3 innings, giving up four earned runs on four hits, three strikeouts and five walks. Kyle Danielson added a strikeout in relief.

Hickey, Dylan Brown, Noah Wilson and Jordan Renner all had one hit apiece for Farwell with Brown and Wilson adding one RBI each.

The Eagles finish the season 13-18 overall and 6-8 in the Jack Pine Conference.

“The season was one of highs and lows,” Schunk said. “Depending on how we played we cold beat just about anybody. However, if we ran into one of our low games just about anybody could best us.”

The Farwell softball team also fell to Beaverton on Tuesday, by a score of 5-2. Further results were not available at press time. The Lady Eagles finished 9-5 in the Jack Pine Conference, tying for third place with Beaverton.
