The Farwell Lady Eagles got roughed up in Beaverton on Wednesday, Dec. 18, falling to the Lady Beavers 69-33 in Jack Pine Conference girls’ basketball.
Beaverton outscored Farwell in every quarter, starting with a 13-8 edge in the first quarter. Farwell fell behind 28-15 at the half and any thoughts of a Lady Eagle comeback quickly faded as they were outscored 19-2 to trail 47-17 entering the fourth.
Beaverton outscored Farwell 22-16 in the fourth to hang on for the win.
Kate Saupe led Farwell with 11 points and five rebounds, Janna McKinley had six points, Selena Deleon had five points and five steals, Nina Bucilli had four points five rebounds and Caron White had three points and five boards.
Farwell (3-2 overall, 2-2 JPC) resumes play Jan. 7 at Harrison.
