Bernice Theresa Wade, age 85 of Lake, went to be with her Lord on Monday, September 24, 2012. She was born June 11, 1927 to Charles and Louise Dauer. In March of 1947 she married Eugene C. Wade; he predeceased her in December of 1999. She had worked as an Inventory Controller at Morley Brothers in Saginaw. Bernice then went to work in the Admitting Department at Saginaw Osteopathic Hospital, where she retired from. She had lived in the Lake area for the past 25 years. Bernice was a Life Member of the D.A.V. Auxiliary, and loved to Crochet. She was a member of the Clare Church of the Nazarene.
Surviving her are her children Sharon (Bob) Brown, Darlene (Bob) Wilkins, Carol (Rolly Sr.) Lee, Charles (Jackie) Wade; 14 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband she was predeceased by two sons and a sister.
Visitation and services will be held at the Clare Church of the Nazarene. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. and on Thursday beginning at 10 A.M. Services will begin at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Jim Young officiating. Entombment will take place in the Chapel Hill Mausoleum in Freeland. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help cover burial expenses, the MidMichigan Medical Center – Midland’s Cardiac and Cancer Center or the Clare Church of the Nazarene.
