Businesses show their stuff at Clare Expo

Clare’s annual Business Expo was held February 21 at the historic Doherty Hotel and Convention Center in Clare.

More than 55 area businesses were on hand to greet visitors to the annual event, which also featured a silent auction. After the main event, a special Expo After Hours was held from 5 to 7 p.m.

This year’s Expo theme was the retro “hippy” era’s “Peace Love and Increased Sales.”

Activities at this year’s Expo included the silent auction, door prizes and a 50-50 drawing. Participants competed for the best booth and best dressed participants. This years winners were Chemical Bank for the best booth and Herrick House for the best costumes.

Part of the proceeds from the silent auction will to for local scholarship programs and future community events.
