One participant has decided to do a little more this year to help a fellow high school teammate out.

Mia Fetzer’s friend Harley Crawford of Farwell was recently diagnosed with Primary Mediastinal B-Cell Lymphoma and is now facing multiple chemotherapy treatments over the next six months.

Mia, who is a junior at FHS this year, decided that she will donate one of her two hogs at the fair’s large animal auction to raise money and help with Harley’s medical expenses.

Harley is a senior at Farwell High School and the two young friends are team mates in softball and volleyball.

Mia posted on Facebook, “My friend and teammate, Harley Crawford has been diagnosed with a rare form of lymphoma. Harley needs everyone to help her win this fight.  I want to do what I can to help, so the proceeds from the sale of one of my hogs will go to Harley. Please consider coming to the auction on July 28th at 10 a.m. and bidding.”

The Large Animal Auction will be held in the T-Barn.

Mia is a member of the 4-H Club of Hides and Hares.

She continued, We need to get the information out, hopefully to get buyers to be very generous.”
