Carl Jay Spicer, age 34 of Harrison passed away suddenly on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 in Mt. Pleasant. Carl was born the son of Donald and Shirley (Dunkle) Spicer on May 8, 1978 in Mt. Pleasant. Carl was a lifelong resident of the Central Michigan area. He had worked at the Soaring Eagle Casino for the past 13 years, currently as a Dining Steward. Carl loved to play card games especially Magic the Gathering and Pinochle. He was a movie buff and enjoyed working on his computer. Carl will be remembered by family and friends for his ability to make you smile and laugh, as well as his quirky sense of humor.
Carl is survived by his parents Donald and Shirley Spicer of Harrison; his son Dante Spicer of Grand Rapids; 4 siblings Donnie (Julia) Spicer-Torres of Clare, Jean (David) Spencer of Lake George, Kim (Mike) Nutt of Gwinn and David (Wanda) Spicer of Wheeler; his nieces and nephews Levi (Lori) Spencer, Nicole Nutt, Helaina Spencer, Crystal Nutt, Rocio Spicer-Torres and Kevin Spicer-Torres; as well as two great nephews Aidyn Spencer and Cameron Cuttsinger.
Visitation and services will be held at the Farwell Chapel of Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Thursday, November 29, 2012 from 7-9 P.M. and Friday from 9 A.M. until the time of service at 1 P.M. Burial will be in the Surrey Twp. Cemetery.
