Clare County Transit busses can now access Save-A-Lot for their disable passengers without blocking other parking and cross traffic

The accessibility ramp at the Harrison Save-A-Lot is located directly in front of their main door; when a passenger boarded or de-boarded a bus using the lift the bus blocked parking spaces on either side of the ramp as well as cross traffic.

To solve this problem, the Transit approached Robert Flowers, Manager of Save-A-Lot, to see if he was willing to let the Transit use the drive way directly to the South of his building. When he agreed, that set the stage to visit the City of Harrison and ask for assistance to install signs at both ends of the driveway to limit the traffic to bus service only. It is now a reality.
