Clare kickers notch shutout over PR

The Clare soccer team notched its second win of the season on Monday, as it was able to travel to Pine River and pick up a 4-0 Northern Michigan Soccer League victory.

Sam Seirocki led the offense with a pair of goals with Alec Hoffman and Josh Camp adding one goal apiece.

Mason Poet earned the shutout in goal.
On Thursday, Sept. 5 the Pioneers lost a home NMSL game with Roscommon, 3-1.

Seirocki netted the team’s lone goal while Bruer Staley was busy in goal, coming up with a total of 24 saves.

Clare (2-5-1 overall, 2-2-1 NMSL) had its home game with McBain Northern Michigan Christian on Wednesday postponed due to weather. The Pioneers play at Big Rapids Crossroads on Monday and hosts Crossroads on Wednesday.
