Clare runners raise money for breast cancer

The girls cross country team at Clare High School is hosting a fundraiser to support the Breast Health Fund at MidMichigan Medical Center – Clare. Forms are available at the high school to order specially designed T-shirts being sold at $11 each for short sleeves and $13 each for long sleeves. Special orders for sweatshirts are also being taken at $23 each. Order forms are due by Friday, September 28 and can be picked up and dropped off in the high school office. In addition, the T-shirts can be purchased at home football games until they are gone. All proceeds will support the Breast Health Fund.

Under the auspices of the MidMichigan Health Foundation, donations to the Breast Health Fund at MidMichigan Medical Center – Clare support breast cancer prevention, screening, diagnostic testing, educational services, equipment and patient care items. This includes access for eligible individuals to receive financial assistance with screening and diagnostic mammograms, breast ultrasounds, breast MRIs, breast biopsies, interpretation fees, post breast cancer surgery support materials, breast cancer genetic counseling and some transportation needs.

The MidMichigan Health Foundation supports the patients and families served by MidMichigan Health by raising funds for equipment, services and programs. MidMichigan Health is a non-profit health system headquartered in Midland, Michigan, affiliated with Michigan Medicine, the health care division of the University of Michigan. MidMichigan Health covers a 23-county region with medical centers in Midland, Alpena, Alma, Clare, Gladwin, Mt. Pleasant and West Branch.
