Getting his truck stuck in the ditch led to the arrest of a Harrison man, Robert Gary Tumath, 46, Tuesday evening.
According to Clare County Undersheriff Dwayne Miedzianowski, Deputies responding to a call about a vehicle in the ditch on Townline Lake Road near Ball Avenue in Hayes Township found that the driver, Tumath had been able to get his 1994 purple Ford Ranger out.
Reportedly Tumath fled from the scene when officers called to him to stop.
After a brief police pursuit, Tumath was pulled over by the pursuing officers. He was arrested for Fleeing and Eluding Police and for Operating While Intoxicated.
Tumath was taken to the Clare County Jail. He was arraigned in 80th District Court and a bond of $2,500/ 10 percent set. He posted bond and was released Wednesday.
