6-28-13 County Equalization Welcomes New EmployeeClare County Equalization Director Kim Halis introduced her new employee to the Clare County BOC at their last regular meeting on Weds., June 19, 2013. Tina Ritchey – who will attend training in January of 2014 for her certification as an Assessing Officer – was hired in April.

Ritchey’s father is Hamilton Twsp. Trustee Dave Wright.

Ritchey had worked and lived in the downstate area, in Redford, for the past 20 years, although she always considered Clare County her home. A teacher at a Charter School, Ritchey and her husband moved back to Clare County last June.

Currently certified as an Assessing Technician, Ritchey was not accepted for the officer training since there were too many candidates and too few openings for the past round. She was accepted for the January 2014 training, which she is looking forward to attending. A Technician isn’t allowed to sing the rolls, but once she completes the Officer training, she will be fully integrated into the office.
