Dice has lone goal in Clare soccer loss

The Clare varsity soccer team fell to host Big Rapids on Thursday, Oct. 4, getting outscored 6-1 by the Cardinals.

Camden Dice had the lone goal for the Pioneers, getting an unassisted score in the contest.

Goalkeeper Eric Litke made 15 saves.

“It has been far too often that Litke has been the recipient of too much activity this season,” Clare head coach Doug Helmling said. “Litke faced a penalty shot and twenty other shots on goal, not to mention the numerous through-balls and seven corner kicks. He stopped two breakaways, only to have one rebound collected and placed into the back of the twine.”
