Dinner/Dance raises $9,328

On January 16th a Snowball Dinner/Dance was held at the Harrison Moose Lodge to raise funds to finish paying off the installation of security cameras. The goal of the Snowball Committee was $2,400.00.

Much to everyone’s delight a total of $9,328 was raised. With the security installation being paid off, the remaining money will go towards the Wall of Tears and future installation of the statues.

The American Legion Post 404-Honor Guard presented the flags to start the fun filled evening.
Veterans and serving military from every war attended beginning with WWII to Afghanistan and Iraq
The air was charged with excitement and fun. Dinner was served to 311 people in a little under an hour.
That gave way to the evening of raffles and dancing and a lot of fellowship.

There was a cake for each branch of the military and one with the American Flag. A 4 foot cookie tree boasted of cookies in the shape of stars and the American Flag individually wrapped for guests to take and enjoy.
