Drusilla A. Matthews of Clare, MI, died peacefully at Tendercare in Clare, on May 17, 2012, at the age of 92.
Drusilla was born January 31, 1920, to her parents, Arthur T. and Anna (Benson) Peterson, of Manistee, MI.
She was employed for many years as a secretary to the Vice President of MMCC in Harrison. She had also been employed during WWII for GM in Detroit and the British government in Canada. She was a smart lady who enjoyed her independence, reading, crocheting and helping others.
She is survived by her son, Tom (Karen) Powers, of Lansing, MI, her daughter, Becky Matthews Montoya of Leander, TX, and granddaughters, Kristen A. Powers of Lansing, MI, Ashleigh R. Montoya of TX, and Audra L. Montoya of CA. She was predeceased by her husband, Bill Matthews.
There will be no services at this time. A memorial gathering will be held at a later date.
The family has entrusted arrangements to Oak Grove Cremation Center in Manistee.
