Eagle girls trounce Coleman 38-14

Farwell’s defense shut down host Coleman on Thursday, Dec. 20, topping the Lady Comets 38-14 in non-conference girls basketball.

The Lady Eagles led just 10-6 after the first quarter, but held Coleman to just one point in the second quarter and scoreless in the third. Farwell conversely netted 11 points in the second to lead 21-7 at the half and scored seven in the third to lead 28-7 entering the fourth. Farwell continued to outplay Coleman in the final frame, outscoring the Comets 10-7.

Caron White led the Eagles with 13 points and 10 rebounds, Jenna Hamming added seven points, six steals, five rebounds and two assists, with Jesse Theisen and Kendra Robison both scoring five.

Farwell (3-2) resumes play Jan. 3, hosting Meridian in a Jack Pine Conference contest.
