Farwell continued to scuffle in Jack Pine Conference play Friday night, falling to the host Houghton Lake Bobcats 16-14. The loss was the sixth straight for the Eagles.
Keegan Rohdy scored just three minutes into the game on a nine yard run and Mitch Nordstrom added an extra point to make it 7-0.
Houghton Lake scored a touchdown in the first and a touchdown in the second, adding two-point conversions after both scores to go up 16-7 at the half.
A Chris Lamerand 12 yard touchdown run and a Nordstrom extra point made it 16-14 with 11:53 to play in the game, though the Eagles were unable to dent the scoreboard the rest of the way.
Farwell (2-6 overall, 0-6 JPC) hosts Harrison (2-6, 2-4) tonight. Harrison lost to Gladwin 27-20 last week. The Eagles have won the last two meetings between the team’s, including a 44-7 win last year.
