The Farwell boys picked up its most lopsided victory of the season on Friday night, dominating host Houghton Lake to the tune of 77-50 in Jack Pine Conference basketball.
“Offense was fueled by a solid defensive effort and a focused priority to attack from inside-out,” Farwell head coach Erik Schunk said of the win.
The Eagles opened with a strong first quarter, leading 22-12 after the first, thanks in large part to Trent Marhofer netting 10 points in the frame and Walter Mosby and Dylan Brown both scoring four.
Marhofer had seven more in the second and Austin Hickey hit a three to help put Farwell up 39-26 at the half and Marhofer added eight more in the third to push the Eagle lead to 60-35 after three.
Seth Baginski added six points for Farwell in the final quarter and Brown added three.
Marhofer finished with 28 points, 10 rebounds and four steals, Brown had 11 points and four rebounds, Trevor McComber had nine points, seven rebounds and three steals and Baginski had eight points.

Hickey hit a pair of fourth quarter threes and Mosby had seven points as well but Coleman scored just enough to win.
