Equipment stolen in McDonald’s break-in

August 20, 2012

An overnight incident at McDonald’s Chrysler, Dodge Jeep dealership in Clare resulted in stolen equipment and extensive damage to three vehicles parked on the lot.

Three new vehicles were broken into sometime during the night between Monday and Tuesday and the radio-navigational systems stolen from the vehicles. Finance and Sales Manager rob Schwartz said the passenger windows were broken out of all three vehicles and the radio-navigational systems were the only things taken.

Jeff Terrian, General Manager of the business, estimated between $4,000 and $5,000 in damages and said the systems taken were valued at about $1,000 each. He said, “I would just like to make people aware that things like this are happening. It looked like a professional job and people should take extra care to protect their vehicles.” He said the incident is under investigation by the Clare City Police Department.
