Eula “Penny” (King) Jarvis

Eula “Penny” (King) Jarvis-passed away and traveled on to join her deceased
loved ones on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Mid-Michigan Medical Center in
Clare. Penny was born on March 25, 1922, the daughter of Glen and Lois
(Seeley) Birdsall in Huntington, IN. Penny was a long time resident of Clare
Co, and a member of the VFW Post#3039 Auxilary. She loved children and
mentored many young people who lovingly called her “grandma”.  She was
married to Robert Gillum who died in 1943 during WWII; then married Jay King
who preceded her in death in 1985, and them married Ira Jarvis who also
preceded her in death.She leaves to cherish her memory her son Earl Gillum
of Farwell, a daughter-in-law Mary Gillum of Farwell, six grandchildren,
twenty-one great-grandchildren, and six great greatgrandchildren. She was
preceded in death also by a son Doug Gillum in 2006, a sister Lela Stoleson,
and very special friend Ray Agle. Friends may visit with Penny’s family and
celebrate her life on Wednesday, April 4, from 6-8PM at the
Campbell-Stocking Family Funeral Home in Farwell.  Penny will be laid to
rest in the Cherry Grove Cemetery in Clare. You are encouraged to share your
