Following three miserable days of freezing rain, snow, broken trees and several area power outages old mother nature put on her Easter Bonnet and brought out the sun in time for Farwell’s Easter Eggstravaganza  held on Saturday March 26th.

Hosted by the Village of Farwell , this year’s colorful event drew a huge crowd of eager youngsters and their families to the Farwell Village Park for a morning of fun.

Over 10,000 brightly colored eggs glistened on the snow as activities got underway at 10:00 a.m.
Youngsters met the Easter Bunny, played games, registered for door prizes and enjoyed other activities.
Decked out in colorful Easter clothing with baskets in hand, smiling kids ages 0-12 darted off the rail trail at 11:00 a.m. grabbing plastic eggs and other goodies spread round the grounds.

In addition to the activities in the park, Eagle Pharmacy hosted a treat decorating at the store in
downtown Farwell.

Thanks to great weather and plenty of participants, hopes are the high the Farwell Easter Eggstravaganza will be bigger and better in 2017.
