3-27 greeks sweep streets

Staff from the City of Mt. Pleasant partnered with 66 students from the Greek sorority and fraternity community at Central Michigan University Sunday to clean the streets in the student residential neighborhoods. Forty bags of trash were collected from Bellows to High streets and from Douglas to Lansing streets. This was the largest group in the four-year history of the event. Four years ago, the City of Mt. Pleasant established a partnership with the Greek community at CMU in which Greek students volunteer their time to clean up the campus neighborhoods. As a result of their dedicated time and efforts, they help make the community a better and cleaner place to live.
