The Harrison varsity baseball team was bounced from the first round of districts on Tuesday night, falling to the Beaverton Beavers 15-0 (three innings) at Pinconning.
“We didn’t hit,” Harrison head coach Brian Clennan said. “Our starting pitcher, Cody Cooper, had a pretty good game, just the hits that they had found the holes that were there and they capitalized on them.”
Beaverton pitcher Seth Bergman retired all nine batters he face to pick up the win.
The Hornets failed to win a game this season, but that doesn’t leave the coach discouraged on the future.
“We’ve grown,” Clennan said on the season. “Their attitudes have been great. Even though we haven’t won a game, they’ve gone out there and played hard every inning.”
