They played a better second half, but it wasn’t enough for the Harrison boys basketball team to top visiting Houghton Lake on Friday, Feb. 15 as the Hornets suffered a 56-45 Jack Pine Conference loss.
The Bobcats took a 16-6 lead after the first quarter and pulled ahead 29-12 at the half.
Harrison improved its play in the second half, outscoring H-L 14-9 in the third to pull within 38-26 entering the fourth, where the Hornets outplayed the Bobcats to a 19-18 margin.
Cody Cooper led Harrison with 14 points and Brett Coughlin added 10.
Harrison (0-16 overall, 0-12 JPC) plays at Meridian tonight (Friday) hosts Marion in a make up contest on Saturday, and plays at Beaverton on Thursday, Feb. 28 to wrap up the regular season.
