Harrison girl struck by car while crossing M-61

On 5/5/12 at 12:25 p.m. the Clare County Central Dispatch received a call of a young female lying in the roadway on M-61. near Byfield in the city of Harrison. information was that the young female was not responding and believed to have been hit by a car. Responding Deputies arrived and found a 10 year old Harrison girl had been struck by a car while crossing M-61 with her dog.

United Rescue Ambulance responded to the scene and transported the girl to the Harrison airport where she was air lifted to Covenant Hospital in Saginaw. 10 year old Rose Duggan is listed in critical but stable condition and believed to be recovering well. The driver of the car Bridget Geile from Macomb stated she was not able to stop in time when the young girl ran out in front of her vehicle.
