The Harrison varsity track teams competed at Ogemaw Heights on Friday, with the girl’s team coming in fifth with 45 points and the boy’s team coming in fourth with 74.5 points.
For the girl’s, Erica Heckman took first in the long jump (14-08.25) and sixth in the high jump (4-05).
Brooke Colville placed second in the 100 hurdles (17.55) with Trixi Katzer coming in eighth in the same event. Colville also took second in the 300 hurdles (48.99) and Katelyn Sherrick placed sixth in the 400 (1:08.97).
For the boy’s team, John Hammell Nelson took first in the shot put (49-09) and fifth in the discus (118-11), Brenden Taylor ran to a third place finish in the 3200 (11:01.25) fifth place finish in the 1600 (5:00.5), Beau Niezguski took third in the 400 (54.67) and Cody Rodgers took fourth in the 300 (49.16).
