The Gateway Community Band, under the direction of Mr. Ken Feneley, presents it’s 2nd annual, “Harvest Celebration Hymn Sing,” on Thursday, October 17th, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. at the Gladwin High School Cafetorium.
This concert will include popular old time hymns such as, “I Love To Tell The Story,” “Church In The Wildwood,” and “Faith Of Our Fathers,” all arranged by Henry Filmore. Songbooks will be provided, as audience vocal participation is encouraged. Among the concert tunes performed will be, “Pie Jesu,” a powerful ballad by Andrew Lloyd Webber and the beautiful, “Autumn Silhoutte,” by Harold L. Walters.
The Gateway Community Band is an all volunteer, nonprofit group of nearly 60 members. The age range is from recent high school grads to retirees, coming from all over Mid-Michigan. The common bond is the love of making great music. So come and join us with your voices, as we perform some wonderful music of the fall season. Admission is free for all ages, although donations are gratefully accepted. See us on our Facebook page or visit us on our website gatewaybands.org.
