Visiting Houghton Lake made quick work of Harrison on Wednesday night, sweeping the Lady Hornets in straight sets in Jack Pine Conference volleyball. The Lady Bobcats won 25-11, 25-17and 25-11.
“Tonight was one of the worst nights we have had,” Harrison head coach Larry Flemming said. “I don’t know what was going on with the girls. They just did not seem like they were there. We had seven balls served out, that is the highest that number has been in a long time. Our serving was off, we only had four blocks, the list goes on with things that could have and did change the match.”
Taylor Bondie led the team with six kills and three digs, Hillary Brewer had four kills, two digs and two blocks, Olivia Sharp had 19 assists, Katelyn Sherrick had 16 assists and Brooke Colville had four digs.
On Monday, the Lady Hornets fell to visiting Meridian, the JPC leaders 25-17, 25-17 and 25-9.
Bondie and Erica Heckman both had six kills, with Bondie adding seven digs and Heckman digging five. Heckman also had four blocks with Sharp adding 17 assists.
Harrison plays at Roscommon on Wednesday.
