The Harrison Lady Hornets suffered a lopsided loss Tuesday night, falling to host Houghton Lake 64-24 in a Jack Pine Conference girls’ basketball game. .
The Lady Bobcats led 13-3 after the first quarter and stayed ahead 22-14 at the half. H-L had a dominating third quarter, outscoring the Lady Hornets 21-0 to lead 43-14 entering the fourth, where H-L outscored Harrison 21-10.
Individual stats for Harrison were not available at press time.
On Thursday, Jan. 16 the Hornets played at Gladwin, falling 67-15 in a JPC contest.
The Flying G’s led 23-1 after the first, 39-10 at the half and 54-14 entering the fourth, where Harrison scored just one point to Gladwin’s 13.
Katelyn Sherrick led Harrison with seven points, Jessica Scherrer had three, Nicole Willman and Lexi LaChappa both had two and Ashleigh Woolston had one.
Harrison (0-11 overall, 0-8 JPC) played at Beaverton on Thursday and plays at Coleman on Tuesday.
