Iris I. Brown, age 93 of Farwell, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at home. Iris was born the daughter of Christopher and Josephine (Gerard) Green on October 31, 1920 in Farwell. She was united in marriage to Charles Lee Brown on November 28, 1935 with him predeceasing her on December 31, 1971. Iris had lived in Farwell her entire life, she had worked as a lineworker at both Holley Carburetor and Evart Products. Iris had been a past member of the Farwell VFW Auxiliary.
Iris is survived by her children Virginia (Richard) Curtiss of Farwell, Lillian Blain of Harrison, Charles Norman (Diane) Brown of Swartz Creek, Debra Williams of Farwell and Michael Lee (Tina) Brown of Farwell; her son-in-law Don Courter of Farwell; brother-in-law Edward Arnold of Florida and sister-in-law Frances Green of Farwell, 20 grandchildren and several great and great
great grandchildren. Iris was predeceased by her parents, daughters Gladys Courter and Donna Jean Brown, a son-in-law Montey Blain, Sr.; two grandsons, Dean Blain and Ryan Cole and three great grandchildren.
Services will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 10:30 A.M. at the Farwell Chapel of Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home with Pastor Connie
Bongard officiating. Burial will take place in the Surrey Twp. Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made to the Farwell United Methodist Church. On-line condolences at www.stephenson-wyman.com
