JANE L. EISENHAUER – age 70 of Farwell, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2011 at Andahwod, Mt. Pleasant. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 31, 2011 at Campbell – Stocking Family Funeral Home – Farwell. Fr. Bill Rutkowski will officiate with burial following in Surrey Township Cemetery.  Visitation for Mrs. Eisenhauer will begin on Thursday from 4 – 8 PM, and on Friday 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 PM. A VFW Auxiliary memorial services will be held at 6:30 PM Thursday and a Prayer Service at 6:30 PM on Friday.

She was born September 29, 1941 the daughter of Jack and Josephine (Smith) Kirkpatrick in Sault Ste Marie, MI. Jane married James Eisenhauer on March 9, 1963 in Mt. Pleasant. She attended Lake Superior State College, graduated from Central Michigan University becoming a teacher. Jane continued her career as a Librarian, retiring from Surrey Township Library after 27 years of service. She was a member of the Sault Ste Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians; past president of VFW Auxiliary Post 3039; past president of District 11 VFW; member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church and a CMU Alumni. Jane loved traveling, reading and was a passionate advocate for literacy.

Surviving are her husband of 48 years Jim; 3 daughters, Jean and husband Jim Pratt of Owosso, Jaclyn Dean and fiancé Dennis Heller of Farwell, Julie and husband Tracy Spooner of Ashley; one son, James Eisenhauer and wife Shirley of Midland; 10 grandchildren, Lawrence, Paul, Stephanie, Jessica, Juliet, Landen, Jonathan, Samuel, Thomas, and Alexandra; and 3 great grandchildren, Danica, Marleigh, and Xzavier; one sister, Jean and husband Leon Williams of Grand Rapids; one brother, John Kirkpatrick and wife Sharon of Midland; numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.
