Jean Mary Armentrout passed away December 15,2011 at the age of 84. She was the loving wife and predeceased by Don, her husband of 57 years. She is survived by and greatly missed by her children Eric (Phyllis), Mary (Bob), Ruth, Tracy (Mark) and Amy. She was sadly predeceased by two children Louise in 1998 and Harvey in 2007. Jean was the grandmother of 12 and the great grandmother of 6. She was born on January 4, 1927 to Charles and Fern Lamphere and was predeceased by three brothers Clarence, Lou, and Don. Jean was a lifetime resident of Clare. She met her true love at Holly Carburetor and became his life-long wife in 1950. She spent her life working along side of him on their dairy farm northwest of Clare. She took on many other jobs such as Browns Corners Church Treasurer, Grant Township Treasurer, and Farm Bureau Secretary for many years. She enjoyed gardening, baking, sewing and needle work. Jean was a very active member of Brown Corner Church for much of her life. She is now safe and perfect in the arms of her Lord and Saviour.
Services for Jean will take place at Stephenson Wyman Funeral home in Clare on December 20, 2011 at 3:00 pm with Pastor Mark Ralph officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 12:30 on December 20 and burial will be in the Cherry Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers you may make donations to Hospice of Michigan or the Gideon’s organization.
