Kenneth M. Kubik, age 72 of Lake, passed away Friday, January 17, 2014 at his home. Kenneth was born November 5, 1940 in Flint, the son of Nichols and Mary (Myers) Kubik. He was united in marriage to Karen Bloom in 1966. He had served his Country in the U.S. Army. Kenneth had worked for Plant Security at General Motors; retiring in 1993. He had moved to Lake in 1997; and had recently accepted the Lord as his Savior through the Clare Church of the Nazarene. Kenneth enjoyed hunting and fishing; he belonged to the Clare Rod and Gun Club as well as the NRA.
Kenneth is survived by his wife Karen; sons Ken of Lake and Mike (Sarah) of Riverdale; four grandchildren Kaitlyn, Skyla, Joey and Andrew. Kenneth was predeceased by his parents and a grandson Mathew.
In keeping with Kenneth’s wishes cremation has taken place, with inurnment to be planned for a later date in the Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly. Memorial contributions may be made to the Paralyzed Veterans of America. Arrangements were handled by the Farwell Chapel of Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home.
