Lady Eagles beat Bobcats, lose to Beavers

Farwell played in Beaverton on Tuesday night and fell to the Lady Beavers 52-36 in Jack Pine Conference girls’ basketball.

Beaverton led 11-8 after the first quarter, 30-18 at the half and 48-26 entering the fourth.

Jenna McKinley led Farwell with nine points and three rebounds, Bri Colosky had eight points and five boards, Caron White had seven points, eight rebounds and three steals, Kate Saupe had six points, five rebounds and three steals, Dani Hanna, Alysha Luster and Kendra Robison all had two points, with Robison adding three rebounds.

On Jan. 30 Farwell hosted Houghton Lake in another JPC game, winning 52-41.

Saupe and McKinley both had 17 points to lead Farwell in the win, White had nine, Colosky and Robison both had four and Luster had one.

Farwell (5-8 overall, 4-7 JPC) hosted Harrison on Thursday and plays at Vestaburg on Tuesday.
