The Farwell volleyball team was playing in its division three district opener at Beaverton on Monday, Oct. 29. The Lady Eagles weren’t able to get enough going against the Lady Sharks however, as they fell in straight sets 25-12, 25-13 and 25-8.

“Our players played with good effort, but we were outmatched,” head coach John Pakledinaz said.
The loss ends Farwell’s season with a 9-26-1 overall record.

“The season results do not match the improvement this team made,” Pakledinaz said. “The team continued to get better as the season progresses. We still struggled with first contact, which is the reason our team struggled. There needs to be major improvement with those returning and joining the team from the junior varsity team.”
The Eagles are hoping that another years’ worth of hard work can cause an uptick in their win total.

“The junior varsity had a good year and there is talent coming up,” Pakledinaz said. “That being said, they need to take advantage of opportunities to get better between now and next year. If that happens, good things will happen.”
