The Harrison girls basketball team dropped a Jack Pine Conference game in Roscommon Tuesday night, falling 48-42. Further info was unavailable.
The Lady Hornets also lost a home JPC contest on Thursday, Dec. 12 66-19, to Beaverton.
The Lady Beavers held a 14-9 lead after the first quarter before pulling away to a 34-11 edge at the half.
“The first quarter was competitive but we dropped our defense and added too many turnovers in the second quarter,” Harrison head coach Kelly Cook said.
It was more of the same for Beaverton in the second half, outscoring Harrison 18-4 in the third and 14-4 in the fourth.
“(We are) young and struggling with the defensive side of the game,” Cook said. “Beaverton had consistent scoring throughout the game and had a balanced attack.”
Jessica Scherrer led Harrison with nine points, Katelyn Sherrick, Lexi LaChappa, Carli Bushell, Ashleigh Wooston and Dani Cullen all had two points apiece.
