Clare earned a pair of home Jack Pine Conference softball wins, topping visiting Farwell 5-1 and 11-1.
Katya Halfmann got the win in game one, giving up two hits and striking out four batters.
Bailey Reger, Molly Merilatt and Alex Rowell had two hits apiece to lead the Clare offense, Lindsay Winter and Mackenzie Thayer had one hit apiece.
Halfman was the winner in game two as well, striking out three batters and giving up two hits.
Thayer pitched the final three innings to earn a save, giving up two hits and striking out four batters.
Merilatt had home run and a double, Emily Baer had two singles and Morgan English had a double and three RBI.
Clare (17-7 overall, 8-2 JPC) played at Gladwin on Thursday and plays in the Glen Lake tournament on Saturday.
Farwell also lost at home to Meridian in JPC play on Thursday, May 8, losing 2-0 and 2-1.
Kate Saupe suffered the loss in game one, giving up three hits and struck out nine batters.
Saupe added a double on offense and Ashley Mathis had a single.
Saupe took the loss in game two, giving up six hits and striking out four batters.
Jessie Theisen and Emily Ruckle had one hit apiece and Sam Matting had an RBI.
Farwell (19-8 overall, 8-4 JPC) hosted Beaverton on Thursday and is in the Blissfield tournament on Saturday.
