Lydia Marie Bolin, age 89 of Farwell, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017 at her home.  Lydia was born the daughter of the late Hugh and Cora (Taylor) Lambert on April 14, 1927 in Bybee, Tennessee.  She was united in marriage to James Joseph Bolin on December 16, 1944 in Newport, Tennessee, with him predeceasing her on September 18, 2009.  Lydia had moved to Farwell from Waterford in 1995; she had attended the Lake Baptist Church.  She enjoyed Crocheting, Poetry and Bowling; her greatest joy was caring for her family.

Lydia is survived by her sons Alfred “Lee” (Marie) Bolin of Pontiac and Michael Bolin of South Lyon; daughters Brenda Bolin of Farwell, Deborah (Dana) Coburn of Lake and Jodie (Brian) Allen of White Cloud; 18 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.  Lydia was predeceased by sons Charles “Hooch” Bolin and James Len Bolin, a sister Phoebe Lambert and brothers John and Walt Lambert.

Visitation and services were held at the Farwell Chapel of Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home.  Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 from 4 to 8 P.M.  and Wednesday from 10 to 11 A.M.  Services were led by Pastor Malcolm Brown beginning Wednesday at 11 A.M.; burial followed in the Surrey Twp. Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Joseph Indian School.  Online guestbook at
