A 54-year-old Harrison man was arrested last Saturday after he hit a neighbor in the head with a brick.
According to a Mt. Pleasant State Police release, “A verbal dispute between neighbors over tree branches being cut on the property line escalated into a physical assault.”
The Harrison man, Keith Allen Green, assaulted his neighbor, a 47-year-old Lincoln Park man when neighbors who witnessed the incident tried to intervene, the release said. That’s when the man hit another neighbor, a 40-year-old Harrison man, who was trying to stop the fight.
Green was arrested by troopers, charged with one count of misdemeanor assault and one count of felonious assault and taken to the Clare County Jail to await arraignment.
Green was arraigned Tuesday morning in 80th District Court by Magistrate Karen Willing and charged with one count of Aggravated Assault and one count of Assault and Battery. His bond was set at $12,500/10 percent.
He remained lodged at the Clare County Jail Wednesday afternoon.
The victim was taken by ambulance to MidMichigan Medical Center – Clare where he was treated and later released.
