Meth lab tied to bank robbers

Cadillac Police are looking for the person responsible for the Meth Lab found in the home of Ruth Loomis, the woman charged with Clinton Cole in three bank robberies October 4th.

The meth lab ingredients were found at Loomis’s home on Riverside Street in Cadillac last Sunday. The home had already been searched when police were looking for money connected to the bank robberies, but no meth ingredients were found at that time.
Later family members notified police that they had found meth ingredients in the home.

Loomis and Cole are facing multiple charges relating to the robberies which took place in the morning of October 4 at the Wexford Community Credit Union in Cadillac and in the afternoon at two Chemical Bank locations in Harrison.

Both Cole and Loomis have been in the Clare County Jail since their arrest that same day. She is charged with conspiracy to commit armed robbery and armed robbery and as a habitual offender. He faces those charges plus weapons charges. Their bail was set at $500,000 and $1,000,000 respectively and preliminary exams were set for October 21.

Police are looking for the person or persons responsible for the meth lab. Loomis’s home is also in a school zone, Police said.
