The Members First Credit Union is experiencing growing pains and is now in the process of building a new facility next to the old building. The credit union was The Central Michigan Community Federal Credit Union until June of 2012, when it merged with Members First Credit Union. Patricia Sexton, who has been with the credit Union for 14 years at this location, has seen the changes that have occurred, as it has grown and expended until renovations were no longer possible. “We need more room”, she says. “We have added to and put in cubicles but we still need more”. “We can better meet the needs of our members with a new building” She is quoted. The board decided that to meet the growing needs of the members and the community, the only solution was to not add on, but to build a new facility. Construction is in full swing and they expect it to be completed by this fall.
