Branden Lee Morse, of Harrison, is facing drug possession charges after he apparently overdosed on heroin at a Midland Shell Station last week.
Morse, 33, was found around 1:30 p.m. October 23 unresponsive on a bathroom floor at the Forward Shell station on Eastman Avenue. He was transported to MidMichigan Medical Center – Midland’s Emergency Room and treated for an overdose.

Police also arrested two women who were with Morse.

Morse was arraigned October 24 for possession of a controlled substance by Midland County District Court Magistrate Gerald Ladwig. Bond was set at $100,000 cash/surety. A preliminary was set for today, October 31.

Morse’s overdose was the second heroin overdose this month in Midland. A Midland woman at McDonald’s on Saginaw Road died as the result of an overdose October 12. Police said there was no evidence of drug use at the restaurant and that the case is still under investigation.
