Allan L. Stone

Allan L. Stone, age 86 of Lake, passed away Thursday, August 22, 2019 at the Toni and Trish House in Auburn.  Allan is survived by sons Donald and Todd (Sandy) both of White Lake, and Scott (Shannon) of Perry; grandchildren Tiffany (Sam) Stone Day of Southfield, Christina (Nick) Stone Bellono of Cambridge, MA, and Chelsea and Allan of White Lake.  He is preceded in death by parents Donald and Nora Stone, and siblings Donald and James.

 Allan was born on December 29, 1932 in Pontiac to Donald and Nora (Chapdelaine) Stone. He had served his Country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1952 to 1955.  Returning home after the war he was united in marriage to Joan Seibt in 1956 with her predeceasing him on June 11, 2019.  Allan had been a firefighter serving and protecting the City of Pontiac for 27 years.  He was a strong-willed person who loved family and friends.  He enjoyed carpentry, woodworking, hunting and fishing.  Allan was a member of the Lake Rod and Gun Club as well as the VFW.  He was an active member of the Lake of the Pines neighborhood in Lake.

 A celebration of life luncheon is scheduled for Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 1 P.M. at the Lake of the Pines clubhouse on 7257 Ashard Rd, Lake, MI 48632. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Allan’s life.  Burial will take place in the Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly on Monday, September 23, 2019 at 2 P.M.  In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Toni and Trish House.  Arrangements were handled by the Farwell Chapel of Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home.  On-line guestbook at www.stephenson-wyman.com
