Chuck was born the son of John and Marian (Ragusa) Haker in St. Johns, MI.  In 1986, Chuck moved from the Lansing area to the Clare/Harrison area, where he resided the rest of his life.

Chuck was a proud factory foreman for Clare’s StageRight, having served the corporation for twenty-five years until his recent retirement.  He was also a proud member of the Army National Guard Reserves.  Those that knew Chuck well will remember his larger-than-life personality and fun-loving attitude that would fill the room.  He was an avid fisherman, hunter, golfer, and sports fan (especially one of the Tigers and Wolverines).  He also enjoyed vacationing in Florida and Curtis, MI. in the Upper Peninsula.  His greatest love however, was that for his children and grandchildren, from whom he will be greatly missed.

Chuck is survived by his daughters Marcianne (Chad) Curry, of Lansing, and Tessa (James) Slater, of Clare.  He is also survived by his five grandchildren Alex, Caleb, and Ethan Curry and Molly and Mayce Slater, his special friend Twig Johnson, his Mester family, and many, many members of his “adopted” family.  Chuck was preceded in death by his parents John and Maria Haker.

A celebration of life to honor Chuck will take place on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at the Clare Moose Lodge at from 1:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M.  For those who are unable to attend, on-line condolences may be shared on the Haker family page at www.stephenson-wyman.com
