Clifford Garrison Lettick, age 93, of Clare, passed away on Friday, May 3, 2013, at MidMichigan Medical Center in Clare. He was born the son of Charles and Millie (Durcham) Lettick on Nov. 2, 1919, in St. Louis, Michigan. He graduated from St. Louis High School. After high school he moved to Clare, where he lived all of his adult life and had served as a Volunteer Firefighter for several years. He worked for a time for a tree trimming service and made a career of plumbing with 38 years of service with Bill Cerny Heating and Plumbing. He had married JoAnna McClain and they had a daughter, Janet. They divorced and he later married Vera (Slater) Ackerman.
Cliff is survived by his wife Verajean of Clare, Children, Janet (Ray) Kuntz of Augusta, Georgia, Dawn Martin of Grand Blanc, Danny (Sheryl) Ackerman, Deborah (Greg) Dassay, and Duane Ackerman all of Clare, his sisters, Velma Spicer of St. Louis, and Iladene (Gary) Egbert of Manistee, 13 grandchildren , several great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews in St. Louis, Colorado, and California.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 8, at 11:00 AM at the Clare Chapel of Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home. Friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4 to 8 PM.
