Curtis J. Marsh

June 21, 2013

Curtis March, 38, of Alma passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at his residence.

In lieu of a formal service, the family will receive friends on Monday, June 17, from 2-5 p.m. in the Swan Creek Room of the Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort.  His ashes will be interred in Surrey Township Cemetery in Farwell.

Curtis was born July 18, 1974, in Mt. Pleasant, son of Terry and Marilynn (Moore) Marsh.  He graduated from Farwell High School in 1992.  After attending Central Michigan University and Mid Michigan Community College, he became a table games dealer.  He was a favorite of players at the Soaring Eagle Casino and the MGM Grand Detroit.  In recent years Curt returned to college to become an MRI technologist, graduating from MMCC with an associate’s degree in 2012.  He aced the state MRI certification exam this March and was eager to start his new career.

The best thing that ever happened to Curt was when he met his future wife, Heather Comer in 2002.  They bonded over a shared love of all types of games, books, movies, and senses of humor.  They married in a small, beautiful ceremony on June 7, 2008.  Heather was his constant companion and his best friend, his true other half.

Curt is survived by his wife, Heather; and his mother, Marilynn Moore of Farwell.  He also leaves behind his Pooh, his beloved sister, Sarah Moore of Farwell.  They loved to get together and share childhood stories, sometimes at their mother’s expense, sometimes each other’s.  His uncles, Tom and Dick (Sheila) Moore and cousins, Mike, Marc, Craig and Amanda Moore will also mourn his loss.  Curt will be missed by a wonderful circle of friends who shared their lives, loves, and families.  They all meant so much to him.  He also leaves behind his extended family of in-laws, Jim and Janice Comer; five brothers-in-law; and five sisters-in-law.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Walt and Freida Moore; and aunt, Sharon Moore.
